Rolf Ruessmann - The early death: Rolf Ruessmann was one of the players who represented both Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04. He played for Dortmund from 1980 to 1985 and for Schalke both from 1969 to 1973 and from 1974 to 1980. After his playing career he worked as a manager at Borussia Moenchengladbach and VfB Stuttgart. Ruessmann died on October 2, 2009 from the effects of prostate cancer.
